For full keyboard backlighting, what is the common implementation of resistors? What I mean is each led has its own, one resistor for a group, one for the entire board.
Does the common convention from mass produced boards follow into custom community driven boards or does it change?
Does anyone know about how much current a USB teensied board with mx switches draws?
Does the layout size affect current draw?
#1 - every keyboard I've seen barred Infinidox has individual resistors for each switch. Haata implemented an LED controller with one resistor that controls everything, though.
#2 - what conventions are you talking about? Most mass-produced boards have LEDs at the top of the switch whereas the majority of customs have them at the bottom of the switch (flipped 180 degrees).
#3/4 - are you still talking about LEDs? or just in general? I've seen 100mA budgeted for the controller and that was probably super super overkill.
