2016 -  if it happens at all - is all the information we've been told for now. They've got to get through this GB first.

Matt3o has said that he might do this design as a limited edition version on the next drop. That will probably be after the first of the year.

Matt3o has already confirmed that he will release CAD files, dimensions and tutorials right after the GB. And while it is fully programmable. I need to say it is undeniable

It is an interesting layout, I have not had thought before in the possibility to build a custome plate to take advantage of the package, that is a very interesting idea.

Cool. I just got my realforce 55g about a month ago and don't need to get a new keyboard yet as I really enjoy using it. However, I am fancying a keyboard with a smaller layout. I also want to try using a "true" mechanical  keyboard. If I order the barebones kit, what key cap set will fit the true fox layout? I have been wondering this since it seems that the whitefox has unique key sizes(maybe?).

If you think that's cool, you may be interested in the 17-key number pad I've programmed to function as a full-size keyboard, using 3-, 4- and 5-key shortcuts. It's the ultimate in non-efficient simplification—and custom caps for it are real cheap, because you need only 17 of them. Yeah baby!

There's still a wire that goes with the Cherry stabilizers, they're just not in place in the pic. If you look, the difference is with the faux-stems (or mounts) that the Cherry has, whereas Costar does not.

Ah, so all stabilizers have wires (or at least Cherry and Costar). I like those Cherry ones. Much easier to use.

Ah, so all stabilizers have wires (or at least Cherry and Costar). I like those Cherry ones. Much easier to use.

If you clip them they're even better.

It's just a personal option, there is nothing wrong about them, I just don't like how they feel. In many aspects Costar stabs are better, easier to fix in case the stab insert gets pulled, but I don't like them. I'm not a big fan of plate mounted switches.

+1, TrueFox layout all the way.  I would be interested in PCB mount stabs though!  Especially with a 7u spacebar (Actually I could just bend a 7u spacebar if I really need to...)

If you want one, you should post a WTB thread in the classifieds, or on MechMarket. Also, they haven't even shipped yet, so other than the manufacturer and matt3o, nobody has one.

I did not get any of these foxes; why?, well, Costar stabs sucks, there is no actual need for arrows in a small footprint keyboard, TKL are the best if you need them, the programming system offered on this and the former MD keyboard kits is not the best around, the layouts that can take standard size keys look awful; but, in all fairness, the pricing was good.

My main beef is with Cherry is that they require modding, or, in the case of zealous, high cost to reach an ideal feel.  Various other switches are more ideal out of the box, so that's why I don't bother with Cherry or its clones anymore.

I had a really hard time the first time I tried it, I should try it again when I get the appropriate key caps, like when I get my Bluegaloo.
