Silent switches.

I just got the new Strafe RGB by Corsair with the silent switches. From my understanding, these switches should be lighter than my blackwidow, yet they feel heavier. Can someone explain why this is happening? Thank very much.

I don't think they are supposed to be lighter, just quieter.

Cherry provides the silent switches in both mx black and mx red variants. The goal is not to make them feel like but quieter. I've never had a Corsair board before but if you really want to make them lighter you could always desolder the switches and replace the springs. Yeah it would take a long time but other than buying a new board that would be your only option.

Yeah seems like you bought the MX Black Silent instead of MX Red Silent. And since MX Black is heavier than MX Blue so it's only normal this happens.
Like Steezus said it's probably faster/easier to sell this one and buy the MX Red Silent instead.

I've bought the silent reds, but they seem a little bit hard to press down, i think its because my blackwidow is very broken in.
