This particular keyboard isn’t terribly useful as-is. Even if you went to the trouble of reverse-engineering the format and building a converter to get it working on modern machines (a few hours of work), you’d still have a ridiculous layout. That spacebar is obscene.
On the other hand, it’s a great source of parts for people trying to build custom Alps boards. Usually green Alps switches seem to go for about $100/board, and this type of Alps dyesubs are pretty hard to find.

Are you upset that I think Futaba switches are one of the least pleasant typing experiences I’ve ever had, and am happy to say so on geekhack? That’s just my own opinion, and isn’t any kind of judgment about anyone else. If you like them, that’s great.
