So today was my grandmothers 86th birthday and I ran into a dilemma.

Chocolate cake with Vanilla ice cream, or Buttercream cake with Chocolate ice cream?

Always ice cream.

Unless cheesecake.  Then always cake.

Personally id say chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake, but that's me :p.

If that's not an option then buttercream cake with chocolate ice cream.

Why not kill two birds with one stone and get a ice cream cake? I always loved the ones from DQ. :)

In my experience ice cream cake never excels in either thing it's trying to be.

In the end though, I chose chocolate cake paired with vanilla ice cream since vanilla ice cream can work with pretty much any desert. :)
