hey guys, quick update.

i was able to get 5 shipped out today, you should have received the tracking in your paypal email.

i normally would have gotten more shipped out but i am super busy this week, so i should start getting more packages out after saturday.

I don't think there would be much of an update other than what he said? It was mentioned earlier that you'll get an email when your package was shipped.

the thread will be updated when there are updates

I don't ship on Sunday so no packages have gone out today, and no packages went out tomorrow. shipments will definitely be going out tomorrow, I should be getting about 20 to 30 out tomorrow.

10 conus orders went out today, more tomorrow

side note, would anyone be interested in a gateron mx lock? small little idea i just had, not sure if it would get enough traction for gateron to make the tooling for it though.

Will INTL be going out last? Just want to make sure as I might need an address change depending on your shipping.  :)
Ohh Gateron lock sounds interesting. Any idea if it's possible to make a clicky lock switch?

It would be cool, but personally I doubt I'll have need of any considering I got a couple switches in this GB.

international takes like two weeks to get there, but i can get it out earlier if you need me to.

not sure, i haven't talked to gateron at all, just a small little thought. if you guys are interested enough i'll throw up a proper IC.

Yes please if possible. If it doesn't mess up your schedule.

I'm interested but I'll try out Cherry's one first before deciding. Will be cool if we can get a full transparent lock switch from Gateron.

Just wondering, since you all mention conus so often, how much extra is it to ship something like this to Alaska or Hawaii? I live in Norway, and we have something like a mix of Hawaii and Alaska called Svalbard and it's usually more than double the price to send something there. Of course, not many people live there, so it's not much of an issue.

i don't think it's extra unless you send it via an expedited service, like priority mail.

Just got my package today, was surprised to see a small flat rate box with a first class label on it. Has USPS ever given you crap about it? The idea behind those boxes is that the cost is subsidized by the flat rate shipping you're supposed to use them for. Not sure what the consequences are for not following their rules, though...

they've given me flak about it like less than 5 times over the span of 3 or so years. i just had to pay the increased postage and that was it, so if USPS asks you for more money once you get it send me a PM with the cost and I'll pay it.

15 more int'l to go out and this gb will be done.

they will have labels printed today, packaged tomorrow, and then take to the post office either tomorrow or wednesday.

conus orders should start slowly rolling in depending on whether or not you chose priority or 1st class.

Got mine in the mail today. Is it me or are these heavier than Blacks? Not that that's a problem, it's just interesting. The one I've been fiddling with seems surprisingly smooth for an MX switch, too. All in all, definitely happy with them. Thanks again for the buy!

My switches came in the other day, and I happened to have a spare mx black switch laying around. It appears that when you press the mx lock and mx black stem-to-stem, the mx black appears to bottom out first. Upon further inspection, the springs in the mx lock switches that I disassembled have a noticeably darker look to them compared to some mx black springs I had on hand. When going up against a linear mx grey switch, both switches seem to bottom out at around the same rate. The mx lock switch has a different spring than the mx linear grey though. The mx lock has a slightly brassy looking spring, while the linear grey has a much more dull colored spring by comparison (perhaps the mx linear grey spring is not stainless?). Anyways, a proper weight test would be better than my speculation.  :p

About the spring color, the springs in the Locks that I received look a lot like the springs in my old (25-35 years or so) Blues and Blacks. I'll take some pictures tonight, as well as do some "proper" (nickels and pennies) weight testing for actuation and bottom-out forces. I'll also test the spring from a lock in a Black to get a direct comparison to the Black spring, because I enjoy taking notes of different characteristics with different stems.

I have the same issue, but I believe this is how USPS tracking works. It only shows the US statuses. Once the item has left their boarders, you will stop seeing any updates until delivery. If you're in the UK, just check with customs in a few days with your tracking number.

Received mine yesterday. Really glad I was able to pick up one of the extras. Thanks again for putting together this GB.

Just curious, my switch seems to stick about a third of the time when returning to the up position. It usually returns to the fully up position with an audible click, after a second or two.  Is that normal? Would the locking wheel or the stem benefit from some lubrication?

Got mine! Whoot!

Anyone have one that gets stuck? One of mine gets stuck in the locked position, and was wondering if anyone knew of a fix.

Got mine! I have to say, pressing the switch is addictive!

I bought a few of these, but honestly I do not know what board supports lock unlock. Any ideas?  ;D

Mine doesn't, but I'll be using it for Fn. A lot of people seem to be doing that.

You don't need lock support in TMK afaik. You just need support for ACTION_LAYER_MOMENTARY().
