Fast Bluetooth pairing of multiple machines?
« on: Sun, 29 November 2009, 17:47:48 »
I'm working on my bluetooth mini hack, and made big progess today as I was able to get a siig minitouch for a low price off ebay.

My main idea is because I use multiple computers, I have a main desktop, a gaming desktop, and 2 laptops I use all day long, is would it be possible to set up a quick macro, or some sort of quick sink to pair a single keyboard to all 4 systems.

Right now, in order for the bluetooth keyboard to be used with all 4 systems, I'd have to de pair, or yank the batteries, to reset the keyboard, then go through the process of repairing it with another computer which would take forever and be a pain every time I wanted to switch to another system.

Anyone know of a way to fast pair a bluetooth device without the trouble of putting in codes every time you want to use it, or maybe even having it paired with all 4 computers simultaneously?

I'm not sure how to do that but it sounds like an interesting idea. Maybe there could be buttons to switch between computers?

I believe it's a limitation of the keyboard's bluetooth chip.
Some devices can be paired to multiple devices at the same time.

Only good keyboard due to high shipping costs and import taxes but loving it so far.

I used Synergy for almost a year. Works quite well. Though it can get confused sometimes if you try to use multiple mice (i.e. left and right hands, each with its own server and connected client).

I take requests for making keyboard converters (i.e. *old keyboard* to USB).
