Checking every hour, 10 minutes before the hour, 10 minutes after the hour, just to be safe and sure I get in. Good luck!!! Will there be trivia and will the trivia be necessary to know to win?

It's not spamming, it's just a sudden surge of interest in interest checks and posting that happens to coincide with a post requirement for a giveaway!  Nothing to see here sir, just move along.

Damn I must really have a problem. I'm checking like every five minutes for about a six hour span haha.

If they were varied and not all interest checks.... I think he would have been okay. But.... I believe you may be right. I decided on posting my caps in the media sub category. I felt it was pretty honest not low quality, but not the highest quality either since I haven't smoked weed in like 20 days. I do plan on posting more pics, but I am currently refreshing and refreshing and hoping I don't miss out. =)

You really need to check every 3-4 minuttes if you'd want to make sure. Who needs the summer anyway right? :D

On certain forms, the posts don't count towards your total, that's just the way that geekhack has been setup. Can't remember which ones count and which ones don't count though

Hey I'm curious, what is the general perspective on entering raffles for caps you don't necessarily want, for the purpose of trading for caps you do want? I've done that, but realize I'm slightly reducing the chances for someone who does actually want it. Only thing I really want is Miami Nights, so I'm thinking I'll only enter for anything in that colorway and give other people a better chance.

I also suspect this is a defense mechanism in response to thinking about living my entire summer this way. My F5 finger is gonna have calluses. >_<

It's generally frowned upon to openly admit that you're entering a raffle just because it's a valuable cap. Even more so if you plan on selling it right away. That being said, it happens with every sale from every marginally popular artisan, and if you're genuinely excited about the caps and not the profit, trading is just a part of the hobby.

I like to keep my caps for a while, take photos of them, and then if they really don't match my theme and a nice trade comes up, I'll let them go. I think that's a reasonable life cycle for owning a nice cap.

ETF actually openly promotes people trading with each other to get the colors and caps they want, so that’s all good. Flipping on the other hand, is frowned upon.

I love the short raffle format, I just wish there was an easier way for account verification to make sure it was really just 1 person per entry and no one was spamming accounts.
I typed this post on my Slanck. I also developed a stronger, cleaner, easier handwiring method.

You can have multiple email addresses associated with your PayPal account:

Quote
You may add up to eight email address to your PayPal account, through your profile. Remember that each email address can be associated to one PayPal account at a time.

Relatively easy to have multiple paypals & addresses though. Only thing stopping people like me is self-policed morals. Knowing how easily I could set it up, I'm sure others have.

I don't know the details, sorry, I just quoted that from the PayPal docs. I would assume (hope?) that they have some kind of measures around it to prevent scams.

To be honest it knew it was possible but didn't know it was so easy to do. It's news to me too.

Some people are very considerate and don't join if they wont use, but trading is part of the fun.
