looking for a good typing+gaming keyboard....in Chile

This is my first post here but I´ve been reading geekhack since last year. Thanks in advance.


I´m looking for a decent keyboard for typing and gaming, but there's a catch: it must be on Chilean market (Chile, south america). Here nobody sells cherry kb and the market is very limited.

Specifically I want a kb with good nkro and build quality. Maybe a good test would be to hit the combinations in http://random.xem.us/rollover.html. As an example my current kb can only do 2 keys (we or xc).
Most of the keyboards available here are not included on the n-key rollover test and that's why I posted this, and I´m not really sure to buy those razer keyboards because I've read they don't last long due to cheap quality build and of course I don't want those expensive logitech kb with a screen and lights and useless stuff. Maybe ms natural ergonomic 4000? (seems like the best option but there are some bad references of it here on geekhack)

I usually play fps games and sometimes it really affects (wasd keys), and I know they sell ss 7g here (on sym.cl and features full nkro) but I don't like it since it uses black cherrys (not good for typing and regular use, and are not an advantage on gaming really in comparison to regular keyboards.)

The only good keyboard that I can see there that is the Steelseries 7G which I think was on the 2nd/3rd link. It has NKRO and Black Cherry switches. These are good for gaming, but not as good for typing as they are quite stiff and non-tactile.

Looks like the Steelseries 7G is about it if you want NKRO. Well, maybe some of the Razer jobs, too. The MS Ergo 4000s are typically liked by the people who use them, but they don't seem to last.

I'd say go for the 7G and find some way to break in the springs if the force bothers you (I like blacks best when well-used).

I loved mine minus the keyswitches, but they weren't too bad for rubber domes.  I had mine for about two years and had no troubles with it.  I would love a version with Cherry browns.  It has to be one of my favorite keyboards of all time.  The layout was perfect for me and it was quite aesthetically pleasing, IMO.  The built-in, pleather wrist rest is the bomb, too.  The keys got shiny, but I never wore any of the letters off (just for the record).

Logitech Waves are also meant to be quite good for rubber dome boards. Not sure if there were any in the above links.
