WTF? Black 82G'

Is this a mod job, or some freak one of a kind made by Lexmark?

Or did Brian have a leftover M13 case and put a normal IBM into it?

I'd say the keys are Unicomp ones, however they still have the ugly beige spacebar and alt keys.

Also - that IBM label looks too big, was it pulled off something else and stuck over it? If the keys were custom made - why make the grey keycaps but not the ones for space and Alt? Why not use Black keys? Why not use a black lock-light label? Also, the back label could have come off another keyboard, which seems especially likely given that any 82G that I have seen had a permanently attached cable.

I am convinced that this was someone's mod job that someone hacked together and somehow ended up in Brian's hands.

You mean the label on the back? As I said, probably taken off another keyboard.

Piling on Tiger Woods.  I love it.

Now that I think about it, "Woods" is a perfect name for a golfer; too bad he didn't respect the wood in the tree.  He and Jeremy Irons would make good celebrity doubles partners, if in name only.

I'm pretty sure all Lexmarks had that shape of label.
