I ordered the white from massdrop intentionally, since I wanted different colours on the different boards I ended to get.

I have the 10AE colour scheme on the full sized board I am currently using.

Both.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Classifieds. Saw a used one on eBay for about $50 less. But widebasket is pretty much the only source. He restocks frequently.

10th ae probably has best keycaps, I'd get that one.

Pair it with a red WASD cluster and pretend to be one of the greatest mods ever.

It has the greatest keycaps, but the only reason I decided to go with the standard black is the blue LEDs. If I ever change out the caps, I'd be stuck with the red LED, whereas I can always change out the caps on mine and keep the blue LEDs.

I'm a sucker for blue.

Why spend $600 on the same board when part of that can go toward a kustom?  :-\

Topre saves money.  Buy a HHKB and never worry about wasting money on keysets, kustoms, or any other cash drain aside from maybe artisans.

Topre just makes you buy more Topre. All the time. No savings to be had when you end up with 3x HHKB seemingly out of nowhere and curse the gods.

The only reason to have an MX board is for linears and pretty keysets. Just one MX board is all you need.

Once you go Topre you don't go back. And im not shilling.
Oh, and buckling springs.

Still gotta try Alps, though.

More or less. I would never get rid of my MX Red board - still fantastic for gaming, but while I happen to type absurdly fast on light switches, it just isn't enjoyable to type on anymore. It's too bad I'd have to desolder the switches just to experiment with different spring weights.
