So I think i'm repeatedly shocking the piss out of my ergodox. I've had my daily driver at work recently start disappearing off the USB bus, usually when I come back from a coffee and go to wake it from the screensaver.
I touch the keys and it goes unresponsive. I need to replug is to get it to initialize.
This intermittency would be seemingly random, but I could usually expect it to occur at least once a day. Sometimes occuring while I was typing.
Until one day it stopped all together. I would get numlock led so I had power to the board, but the teensy appeared to be dead.
Did some troubleshooting with the teensy, plugging in directly I would get no lghts or power.. nothing on the USB bus.
So I've ordered a new teensy for this unit now. I'll see how it behaves after replacement. Perhaps it was just faulty.
I brought my other unit from home into the office and now i'm proceeding to shock thi s unit too. Doesn't appear to happen as often but I've had to replug it.
Interestingly both these units have the aluminium tops.
My 3rd unit at home is all acrylic is not encountering any difficulties.
Anybody else experience this?
