Hello from Houston!
« on: Thu, 10 March 2016, 19:31:28 »
Hi! I've been lurking the forums for quite some time now and figured it was finally time to register. I pulled the trigger on a poker3 a few nights ago and have been looking at keycaps nonstop since then. Even though it's been overdone, I placed an order for the rainbow thick pbt keys from Geekkeys. I'm hoping that they will hold me over until I find a GMK set that is somewhat affordable ;D. I've caught the bug. Ever since using my girlfriends ducky shine 3, I've been eyeing the year of the goat, however, the poker3 was just way too clean to pass up. The QFR will find a place at my office where all of my other keyboards have ended up. Does anyone have any recommendations for the highest quality usb cable for the poker?

My other keyboards include:
6gv2 red
6gv2 black
g710+ brown
g810
QFR red

If anyone is selling any of those Gen.s gem keycaps, please message me!

Welcome  ;)

USB cords? Maybe http://pexonpcs.co.uk/products/usb-cables?variant=878840327

Or you could buy a decent usb cable and install a paracord cover on it yourself, idk your preference.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Pexon is good for cables.

Or MiMiC.

Or there's probably a few more in the Geekhack marketplace.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
