What does it take to be a highly customizable PCB?
I would include these features:
1. Hot swapping switch and LED, like the Smart68 from DeeLonG
https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=61714.msg1434619#msg1434619So you can easily change the switch and LED without the pain of desoldering. Don't know if MX and Alps could be both supported. It would be awesome if that is the case.
2. Build-in RGB SMD underglow, like the B.face X2 PCB from Winkeyless.kr
http://winkeyless.kr/product/b-face-x2-pcb/So you can customize any underglow effect, colors, flashing, looping, or just turn it off, anything you can imagine
3. Open-source TMK firmware with a configurator, like the Infinity from Input Club
https://input.club/configurator-md-1-1-alphabetSo you can easily change the key layout without coding, or you can code to get the exact layout you want since it is open source
These are basically what come to my mind for the time being. And of course, 60% form factor is the mostly preferred because you can get plenty choices of cases, aluminum, acrylic, wood, etc. Any other ideas? Just post your thoughts.
If such PCB already exists, please definitely let me know. I would love to get one. If not...hey community, let's make it happen!
