Many Year past, I purchased a Toyota Corolla T Sport (Second Generation). I was offered such a good price to "seal the deal". On the Day of collecting the car, I noticed vibration on the clutch @ 3000rpm, so I returned it after driving for approximately 3 miles. It took 3 Months of conciliation bar actually going to Court to settled the matter. In the end I had purchased a Car which was not of my own original choice.
To put a long story short, Toyota had manufactured a Model (Corolla T Sport) with a defective clutch plate (inaccurately calibrated tooling) and knowingly tried to recoup some of the cost by pushing it to the public. A few Months later, they took this Model off the market but the unfortunate people who already purchased had to put-up with keeping it.
The next time avaricious Toyota tried to push their defective products to the public, cost the lives of some people in the US of A last Year when large amounts of their cars were recalled.
The point is that Toyota knew there were defects and still tried to sell their defective products, at least TWICE. Can you trust Toyota not to cheat on you ?
