Identify this stem?
« on: Tue, 29 March 2016, 13:37:17 »
Hello guys,

I came across this model from cougar which is an "hybrid mechanical" keyboard . Anyway, after I looked at the swtiches I asked myself if it is possible (theoretically) to replace the keycaps. The used stems looks like alps clones but I'm not really sure. So has anyone of you seen such stems before and can tell me a bit more?

Does that look a little like the Logitech switches?
Someone apparently went up to the great philosopher Wittgenstein and said "What a lot of morons people back in the Middle Ages must have been to have looked, every morning, at the dawn and to have thought what they were seeing was the Sun going around the Earth, when every school kid knows that the Earth goes around the Sun", to which Wittgenstein replied "Yeah, but I wonder what it would have looked like if the Sun had been going around the Earth?"

Its slider over dome.

scroll down and there is a picture showing it is a slider over dome.

It does appear that the keycaps are alps mount as per the picture below, but I can't confirm that for sure.

So theoretically you can use alps caps as a replacement?

In theory, I'd say yes.  But I've never tried it.  The mount and keycaps just look like they are Alps.  The dimensions may be different.
