I upgraded my CODE with Raindrop DSA's!
« on: Wed, 30 March 2016, 17:38:17 »
I'm really excited about the keycaps as I didn't run across techkeys.us until I came here. Here is the link to the imgur album of the keyboard. I'm really liking the look even though the keycaps are not backlit compatible. I used the number pad keys for the number/symbol row and I'm still debating that choice.

I just wanted it to share it with y'all!

I've always liked the blue and white look :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Oh wow, that is unexpected, I would have assumed the opposite would have happened, as the keys seem fit the shape of your fingers better. I am personally a big fan of SA, and DSA key's... but I sadly don't own a set yet... :(

Admittedly I was a little nervous about how it would come out. I'm happy to see it looks this good. Types like a dream too.

I really enjoy DSA. I used a set in a friend's poker 2 and couldn't go back to the standard keys. In fact, I had the standard keys on the CODE for less than a week. It was surprisingly uncomfortable.

What are the differences between DSA and SA?

SA is a much higher profile, generally thicker keycaps.
