Hello world.
My name is Shady (I know. Sounds sketchy, but believe me, it's a common Egyptian name.). I am a freshman (rising sophomore) at Rutgers University doing Computer Science as a major. Upon moving into my new dorm, my roommate introduced me to what I thought was his old ass broken keyboard...and that's how I fell in love with Cherry MX Blues. LOL. Anyway, I purchased a Varmilo wireless mechanical keyboard from the infamous MassDrop, and I've been in love with it ever since I got it in September. My obsession has grown dramatically, and I feel like all I do is scrape the bottom of the interwebs trying to find videos/posts about mech keyboards. Recently, my parent's crappy HP stock membrane keyboard broke, and I was immediately filled with joy. This meant that I can give them my membrane keyboard (from my home setup, since the Varmilo is for my dorm setup), and I can pick up a second mechanical keyboard! I know, this is very evil of me, but I really want another keyboard. Right now, as a broke as college student, all I can see myself purchasing is the budget friendly Redragon K552 from Amazon, which rocks some Cherry knock off switches. I'm looking into the Quickfire, but I really am tight on money. (I'm really hoping I don't get flamed for getting that Redragon, for all I know it might be hated within these forums.) Anyway, one of the most important things for me when it comes to keyboards, or tech in general, is the appearance, so it isn't much of a surprise that I plan on switching out the keycaps for my next (crappy but still exciting) mechanical keyboard, for ninja printed white or black keycaps (preferably white to match my Varmilo). For some reason, I cannot find any white or black ninja printer 87 keycap sets ANYWHERE on the internet for any less than, idk, like $60. I feel like it's out there somewhere, I just cannot find it. My budget is super low, but I'm willing to pull strings if I can find them anywhere. Almost every set I find will cost me more than the keyboard itself ($40). Anyway, This was kind of a long introduction/request for help in my search. Thanks in advance everyone! I look forward to using this forum instead of studying for finals in the upcoming weeks!
