Never complain when somebody else's inefficiency provides you with paid work.

My time is more valuable than that.

without making a new thread, can someone look at their filco and see whether the spacebar points 'toward' you (comfort) or 'away' (like topre)?

i feel like i might have not been paying attention when i took mine off.  right now it is pointing 'away' from me, which makes it look good beside the other keys, but has that topre edge on it.

i asume they need a T3 connection to run everything? and perhaps they must send the admins back to school.

lol, right. They have 2 T-1's for internet, which from what I can see is enough bandwidth for their data and VOIP needs. But this is coming from a phone guy, what do I know.
The phone sytem we put in is using the original cheap centrex copper lines. Its actually kind of funny, if it wasn't so sad. We are trying to get them on a PRI with DID service but they are hesitant.

fwiw, the people on-site with the best setup are the MAC users. They are running on gigabit over fiber on their own self contained network. I think they are doing training videos or something. They look to be the brightest users there too and have been easy to get along with. They sure do have the best hardware on their desktops.

I think the "high side" goes toward you. If that makes any sense.

I have a question, not sure if it's deserving of it's own thread.

But do the "otaku" blank keycaps on filco's have the same type of key wear as the ones with letters?

Thanks

actually, im still not sure which spacebar is coated and which one is not.  under CLOSE inspection, i can tell there is a difference, but neither seemed to look just like the blank keys.  i tried my best.

this still does not change my opinion that worn, non-new coated keys look worse.

thanks ripster... so i got it right the first time.

I'm surprised that I never noticed that Filco's have Windows keys.

If they do, it's nowhere near the same extent as the lettered ones. Mine look fine after 6 months of regular use.

I just bought a set of the blank keys. I wanted the otaku but I just don't want the hassle of a blank number row. So I guess this is the compromise. Although it turns my $131 filco into a $162 + $8 for blue wasd (oops) + shipping . Oh well...

Lol, of course.  I was certain she wasn't Japanese because she's apparently a big star in the Far East.  Korean, yes indeed.
