The blues in my Shine 5 feels light to my fingers, I love the clicky feel and the noise of blues so greens were  really the only suitable option I guess. The Magicforce is still in the post and probably won't get here for a few weeks but I'll be sure to post about it when it arrives!

Hmmm yes I've read up about topre, but I'm afraid that's a no click no pick from me lol. Maybe when I actually try one I'll change my mind? There's so much stuff I'd like to try!

That post is so me ha. I'm from the UK, things are already expensive here but I'm actually from Hong Kong and that's where I got my Ducky. It converted to about £60 less if I bought it here, it's nuts. Another plus is if there's anything I need/want that's expensive here I get my relatives over there to buy it and ship it for me which is still cheaper than here in most cases. Now I'm not so much into the artisan caps and such so I won't be spending much there. I'm more of a making/modding things kinda guy, hence the plans to build myself a TKL board (why are alu cases so damn expensive?!), got a set of blue/white caps for the ducky and I'm looking into hydro dipping the the case.

I'm not a very planned ahead kind of person, I guess that's just me being a pessimist mainly haha but I don't get disappointed much so nothing to be sad about there! Plans at the moment is to save up some money and rent a place with the girlfriend, and hopefully if one of my projects go to plan it will contribute to that so I can save quicker. Saving is already hard at the moment as I'm already renting a place, but I swore to never move back home if I can help it. Plus I'm still convinced I'll win the lottery!

Looking forward to sharing my stuff with you guys!

Having your own personal proxy can make things a lot easier!

Aluminium cases have to be carefully machined - there is so much that can go wrong.  Hence the price.  Cheap ones usually don't line up with the PCB, or look horrible, or aren't compatible with popular keyboards.

I've recently discovered a Trust Alps I had when I was 6 years old. I want that board now. And a Model M. And an Apple AEK I had when I was 4. I'm DOOMED.

I have been looking at IBM Models Ms. Seems everyone says they're awesome but I'm not sure of the buckling springs bit, how even does the key actuations feel?

There is a slight resistance, like thick icing on a cake as you press downwards with the knife.  On the cake, not on the keyboard.

Then there is a sudden release of pressure, like the knife biting through very light sponge, as the spring buckles and the keycap drops to the bottom of the stroke.

The loud clack and slight twang is music to the ears, like, er, a knife whistling through the air as you throw it in the direction of the kitchen sink.  Poor analogy, but it would have distracted if I had change metaphors.

Also don't eat cake over your keyboards.

Or throw knives.
