List full size mx cherry red keyboards
« on: Sun, 10 April 2016, 22:30:47 »
So I recently got a filco majestouch 2 mx cherry red and fell in love with it. it's literally the best keyboard I've ever used. So I've decided to use only mx cherry red switch from now on for all keyboards. So I just want to know what are other full size mx cherry red keyboards out there that may or may not be popular.

I like simple designs without much LED Lighting. Filco is perfect because it uses dim red color lighting on the right upper area of the board and i especially love how there aren't any LED light on caplocks like the ones I had in the past.

I'd love to try out leopold in the future.

I think you may have interest in our Varmilo keyboard, u can customize your own keyboard, u can  choose your Cherry MX switches, Keycap Color style with the option to add LED Backlighting. ;D ;D ;D

ducky has a lot of full-sizes with reds. I know that because I own one :P

if you like mx reds, try gateron linear. or any other linear switch tbh. because mx linears can be considered extremely rough compared to other linear variants (excepting vintage blacks)

My current work keyboard.

It's great.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. however I'd prefer the key lettering on the top and not the bottom side. but Other than that, that leopold is a very nice and clean looking keyboard!

But that's the best part you don't have to worry about the legends ever wearing.

And they are very nice and thick PBT caps in an awesome profile.

They also confuse people who think they are blanks.

I really like the Filco Majestouch-2 as well. But I need more than just black cases. When it comes to white keyboard cases, you won't find many manufacturers who bother making them. Varmilo is one of the few that does, but if you want the full ANSI version, you'll have to wait until MassDrop brings it back again in about six months. Ducky supposedly makes them as well, but I can't find the Shine in white in stock anywhere.

True but it also makes me think that I have to slouch. It just gives me that vibe.

If you like MX Reds you very well may enjoy a board with green ALPS.

I just might one day. It's strange because this is literally the first time I've heard of "green alps"

They're a lot of fun. Smoother than any new Cherry switch and make quite a nice sound. They feel more responsive too, because they actuate higher up than Cherries.

I've already tried "smoother" which is topre and quite honestly did not like it. If it feels like mx cherry reds though, then that's another thing.

Topre is a tactile switch, not linear. Smooth just means it's not scratchy - how much friction there is between the slider and the rest of the switch. Green Alps are generally considered to be among the best linear switches ever made - if they're in good condition, that is!
