I've been looking, but only found one old Apple keyboard by the side of the road (not AEKII, unfortunately), and nothing - zero - in thrift shops.

The term recycling day implies that you have recycling centres. Find them! Don't bother with thrift shops, they trend to only keep USB keyboards as only those are resellable, and for all intents and purposes USB keyboards are useless to us.

it varies from council to council, at my council you have to drop off all your e-waste at a centre, and taking others stuff is forbidden
