I don't think they can go back to update two, unless they manage to convince SP it's worth the hustle to do custom ABS colors (which probably won't happen any time soon). The problem is that they just picked colors that looked nice without researching whether SP was actually able to produce anything resembling it. But I think a proper redesign would have to start from scratch, rather than trying to bridge the gap between the original concept and SP's color palette.

Nah, I think a lot of thought went into the aesthetics – the initial concept looks really neat. The logistics of actually producing the caps, that's another story. But having lots of experience of and talent for the former does not automatically mean you know all the ins and outs of dealing with SP and what they can or cannot do.

Man, that's quite a departure from the original concept. I don't know about that yellow, kind of makes this Modern Selectric with some extra splashes of color.
It's correct. SP has very limited color options. So, we have to change the set with their available color.
Our designer is learning Solidworks, she will finish the 3D Render very soon.
It will allow us to have a better look and feel about the Key Set.
That's great, but I think you are going about it the wrong way. The initial concept was based around a gradient from dark blue to green, whereas the new concept contains three colors: blue, green, and yellow. I get that the yellow was the closest match to the rightmost green from the initial concept, but it's still quite a stark departure from what you started with and breaks the gradient that tied the color scheme together.
I'd suggest you start designing from the palette you have to work with, rather than trying to reverse engineer the initial concept using the SP color palette. The first two iterations of the set where really interesting; the current rendition feels kind of meh, at least to me personally (and apparently also to a lot of people here in the thread).
