I know I've seen them here before... It's from an old fax machine or something

I'm pretty sure I've seen a custom build keyboard with these. Can't find the thread though...

Ogischer: did you get one of these?
I have one which I bought from someone on Deskthority, and I know of 2–3 others that have popped up in the forums.
They were from a “one per desk” machine which was both a computer and a phone. Sometimes around here gets called the “Alps phoneboard” or similar.
https://deskthority.net/wiki/ICL_One_Per_Desk
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Per_Desk
You can find a few threads about them
in a google search
.
In particular, see this thread
https://deskthority.net/photos-f62/another-mystery-solved-source-of-my-vintage-alps-doubleshot-t1994.html
which has a nice picture of a New Zealand Telecom Computerphone:
In the UK they were rebranded the Merlin Tonto:
The keycap colors were the inspiration for the popular “DSA Retro” set of Cherry MX keycaps.

Mmmmm. Been seeing a lot of hot Alps caps lately. I really should start trolling eBay again.

Thanks a lot jacobolus!
I got it from the german ebay about a year ago. Only the keyboard without the computerphone. It was described as some unknown keyboard, but I think I already knew it had alps keycaps
