Cherry Switch install on plate
«

I'm creating a custom keyboard and I have a (probably stupid) question. I'm using Cherry MX (Brown) switches on a plate mount. I haven't seen anything on how the switches connect to the plate. I assume they just don't site in the hole. Are you supposed to pull the switch apart and close pieces around the plate? Or is there another method?
Thanks

You assumed wrong!
They just sit in the plate from the plate. Well, they "snap" into the plate, if it's 1.5mm thick.
