Hello from California
« on: Fri, 13 May 2016, 16:51:10 »
Hi. I'm Quentin. I've been lurking for a while and decided to join today since I just pre-ordered a Pok3r RGB. Currently using a Corsair K70 w/ Cherry blues at home and an NEC APC-H412 at work. The NEC will get replaced once the Pok3r arrives, so hopefully there is a market for it.  :)

Welcome to Geekhack!

How long have you been using the NEC keyboard for?

I managed to salvage an old APC-H4100E (which is basically the same, same switches too), eventually found a switch to replace the left arrow switch that had been kicked off, and now I've lost the left arrow keycap :))

Switching from the NEC to the Pok3r will give you a considerable amount of desk space back!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
