Ouch! I think I'd rather just use one of those laser keyboard projectors and drum my fingers on the desk. Do those things even work, BTW?

That might be the type of keyboard that they use in restaurants and industrial areas. I had one for a while and it was indestructible.

Metal domes under multiple mylar layers that can be customized and set to whatever you have in your shop.

Not for fast or easy typing but it would hardly hiccup if you poured a bucket of hot grease on it.

When I was working as a retail photo lab technician there were times when I had to take the rolls of film to be processed at other stores, and I'm pretty sure a few of them had that kind of keyboard (early 2000's). Hell, I even used those when I worked at McDonalds as a teenager. Typing on them was a bit of a chore :-X

I found a full-travel keyboard recently with switches that are EVEN WORSE than the spring-over-membrane system on my Amstrads. It's so bad it's genuinely unreal. I might review that in a few weeks.

Metal dome keyboards have their places.
Impervious and indestructible are not bad attributes.

They use these type of keyboards in old slaughterhouses, where input data is required along the line.

You could cover entrails on this keyboard and still type anything you like, in fact it could even be a personal "Dexter" like keyboard, for home usage  8) .

I have a similar keyboard on an paint mixer computer. I rather use a cheap $2 rubber dome.
