Weird linear alps switch (sharp pc-7000 keyboard)
« on: Sat, 04 June 2016, 17:16:35 »
Here is the board. Ive never seen one of these switches, and I cant find it on the DT wiki. They are really mushy and feel like **** imo.

The lock keys have alps skfl switches with leds built in. See if you can id the other switch.

Here are a few pics of the pcb with alps part numbers.

Any help identifying these switches is greatly appreciated. Even though they arent very good, Im curious what they are.

They look like ALPS SKFL.

Dirty ALPS can feel nasty so that might explain the **** feeling.

No, the other switch, if you read my post I said I know what the lock switches are. These may be a new discovery, I went through all of the dt alps switch pages and I couldnt find anything like that. They have small alps logos cast into the top shell of the switches also.

As nubbinator has said, it looks like Alps Integrated Domes with white sliders instead of blue ones like in the photo below.

Current drivers: IBM Model M SSK

Yeah, more pics with the white.  It does look like there's no consensus on who made them, just that they're alps compatible.  The fact that they're on a board with Alps switches does indicate that they're probably Alps made though.

These were definitely Alps made. If you desolder one there’s probably a logo on the bottom.
