The earlier Quietkey vs your generic 5140?

Isn't the 5140 a very rare old Alps board?
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

I think this is a troll post judging by the OP's history, so I wouldn't get too excited to comment btw.

But if this is a real question, you're asking to compare NMB Dome With Sliders (which are not terrible as far as rubber domes go) with tactile brown ALPS, there is no comparison.

Do you mean the BTC 5140?

The BTC Dome With Sliders are a lot better than the NMB.

Can't just throw random model numbers around, the 5140 is a relatively sought after PC/Keyboard with rarer brown alps switches and it is also the model number of another rubber dome board.

Yeah, not the laptop's keyboard. Thought that would have been obvious with me asking about two rubber-domed keyboards. It's ok, I don't expect an apology for your misunderstanding.

I think you confused all of us alps junkies. Ive tried nmb dome with slider, and ive tried btc dome with slider. btc wins, but not by much. theyre both good for rubbers.

I have read pretty good things about the BTC dome over sliders, the capacitive ones at least.  People say that they are pretty close to Topre in terms of at least sound, very thocky.

Here's a video someone recorded of their BTC 5100C/SIIG Minitouch Plus:

It's ok, i don't expect an apology from you despite your misunderstanding and your outlandish claim I'm a troll as only a moron would think that in the first place.

They're not capacitive dude xD . They're very good though. My dome with slider megareview might be quite beneficial to OP.

Darn, that's too bad.  I suppose "conductive rubber" over PCB isn't quite the same thing.  I could have sworn reading that it was capacitive someplace.

Capacitive elements don't use simple conductors ;) . You don't bridge a contact in capacitors, you need an insulator! If you're interested in how they work, watch my F122 video :) .

Here's that video I mentioned earlier:
