One of the many things I like about my IBM SSK is that it has a detachable cable whose connector is conveniently located on the rear of the case rather than in a recessed area underneath the case. Likewise, all 60% boards I have seen have the cable connection on the rear of the case.
In contrast, with the exception of the CM Novatouch, all the contemporary TKL keyboards I have seen put the connector underneath the case. A supposed advantage of this arrangement is cable routing to the center, left, or right. However, I change keyboards frequently, and I find that the cable routing makes it difficult to disengage the cable. In addition, I find that the recessed area for the connector is usually not generous enough to enable facile detachment and reattachment of the cable.
This situation has made me wonder -- Which TKL keyboards with detachable cables (other than the IBM SSK and CM Novatouch) have the cable connector on the rear of the case rather than in a recessed area underneath the case?
