LOL!  That's pretty bad, it could qualify to enter my dirty keyboard treasure trove.

How can someone have the balls to even sell something like this? It needs to be thrown away.

The Windows and menu keys were not double-shot on my Cherry POS 80-8955HPDUS-2. Were they, they'd have been sold last week to another geekhacker seeking what you seek.

I really hate to think what this looks like inside

Not even that dirty I bet. It's mainly very heavily used. Would need a complete disassembly (preferably with gloves on) and thorough cleaning of course, but could be restored to a much less unsightly state. Cherry PBT keycaps are tough.

Now that smoker special...

My '96 G80-3000HEMDE doesn't have double-shot Win/Menu keys either, at least they don't have the typical stripe pattern underneath.

Brown cherry. Full rollover, too.

You can get cheaper / cleaner versions of this same board, though. This ended yesterday: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120511374815&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123

The IBM XT F I bought a little over a year ago was probably even worse off than the OP's pic. It cleaned up to near mint condition, but it took a lot of elbow grease. For the ~15 USD I paid for it (that includes shipping!), I'd say it was worth the effort.

It just needs a little cleaning. You'll be surprised how possible it is to make those things look like new.

It's pretty funny.  As a keyboard collector I've wondered if maybe these boards that have been used, might be worth more in this condition, rather than cleaned up, like guns, or knives that have been rusted and are collected. The market usually pays more for them if they are in original rusted condition...they call it a "patina". lol

Someone should buy it who has some time and motivation to see how clean they can get it.  I bet we'd all be surprised.

My first M was very bad- not as bad as Smoking Man's, but bad. It cleaned up nicely I think.

Gah! It's the hair that's the worse part...just sick. lol

Course in 500 years maybe they'll dig up our keyboards from landfills and be able to clone us from the bits of dna left in them. roflol
