I think that's nice, but it needs a matching mouse. And the wood needs to be darker.

A while back webwit posted an oval wooden keyboard pic similar to the OP. It jump-started me to begin oiling a wooden cutting board for use with a metal plate from kishy's 101 non-Cherry blacks that I'm making tenkey-less. A small cutting board is easy to work with, offers room for a palm rest, and is easily replaced if the project goes awry.



I'll cut an opening for the alpha block keys to come through, mount the plate on the bottom. Exposed point-to-point wiring might be a problem, but I'll solve that if I like how it looks.

With plastic keys it looks crappy. And wooden keys would be impossible to keep clean I guess.

Those last two are mighty sweet. I'm going back to the drawing board on my project.
