Cherry screw-in stabilizers
« on: Sat, 16 July 2016, 09:05:29 »
I bought some Cherry screw-in stabilizers from a group buy 2 years back and forgot all about it, until now.
It seems that they only came with stabilizers but no screws.
What screw sized are used for this?

I can't actually help but I'd like to congratulate you for waiting for such a long time, that's quite impressive man.

Perhaps it was 1 year, or 1.5 years back?
I am not sure, it was a long time.

Stopped throwing money into this money pit 1 year back , just tidying up some stuff right now, that's why I can wait so long

It's indeed a money pit but I know a guy that that can help you out, message Zeal. He's cooking some custom stabs and I'm absolutely sure that he knows a thing or two about stabs' specifications, screws included.

I have a set that I got from Ivan a while back, just took out one of the screws to measure them.  So it looks like they are using machine screws either #1-64 in SAE or 2mmx0.4 .  The pitch gauges I have do not go as fine as the threads on the screws, but either 32 SAE or 0.8 metric both engage with every other thread, so half them would seem about right.  The screw dimensions are 0.740" or 1.89mm in diameter and 0.15" or 3.83mm long.

hope that helps.
