Picked up mine from the post office today :>. The aluminium has a really nice, slightly grainy surface texture which feels and looks amazing. Board is comfortably hefty even without a weight insert, and feels very solid. That said, while I'm overall happy with it, the perfectionist in me does have some niggles with the anodizing. Specifically, the beveled edges (which are admittedly ****ing sweet) appear to have caused some problems for the anodizing process, as there are a few places where the underlying aluminium comes through:
You can see the same issue on the nearest corner in the 4th pic on onmybikedrunk's
album, more clearly than on my crap pictures. It's not very obvious in either case, but noticeable if you're looking closely.
Also, given the steel plate is just raw, unfinished stainless steel (laser cut, I think, judging by the marks on the back), I think I'll probably end up polishing it before I'm satisfied
