Besides, I spent my Topre money on this. Now, I could record a Topre, if I had one.

Actually, I recommend getting friendly with the engineer on the soundboard.  You know, a little alcohol, the drugs of his choice, etc., and getting him to hook an ADAT to the board for you.

I like the keyboard because it's got that huge enter key lol. I've always wanted one of those. On top of that, I like the relegendable keys on top.

Also, I've never bought a used keyboard so I can clean it up myself lol. I know it sounds weird but yea, that's what I like to do =P

People THINK it's Brown Cherries.  At least it's not ALPS.

I would think it's Brown Cherries. Why wouldn't they be?

Why would they?  Really, it could be any MX switch.  It just so happens that the one or two that were bought by members before are browns, but there is nothing in the part number to say for sure nor do we have enough samples to say that specific model number always has browns.

Who ended up buying it? I'll probably try to snag the next one if they list another.

according to the geekhack wiki, Cherry MX switches are the most common type of Cherry keyboard switch and are 4mm travel, rated at 50 or 20 million operations. The G80 range of Cherry keyboards have MX switches.

He probably meant he didn't know what color switch was in the 'board.  Without the seller pulling a cap, it's hard to be sure.

I'm getting one too, for the caps alone.

The code suggests blacks.

black switches?

Yeah.  I'll report when I get and dissect mine.  I may want to dump the extra switches, as I like a standard-104 layout and blues

IIRC it's Cherry Browns with single shot key caps, only useful for harvesting switches.
Often outspoken, please forgive any cause for offense.
