Most guys on the forum would recommend keyboards with mechanical switches and mech switches are often louder than average - but not necessarily. Loudness depends not only on switch type but also on construction of the rest of the keyboard.
As a programmer, do you need the "nav cluster" with Pgup/PgDn/Home/End/Del keys?
I have found that the "tenkeyless" layout with nav cluster is quite uncommon among keyboards that are not mechanical.
If you don't need the nav cluster and prefer low-profile keyboards then I think you should check out the Logitech K810 (PC) or K811 (Mac). They have Logitech's "PerfectStroke" switches that I personally find have a better feel than other rubber dome/scissor switches. The layout is like the standard Apple keyboard though.
Matias has two types of wireless keyboards that are
almost tenkeyless, both with a mechanical switch that has rubber damping to be quieter than others: The
Matias LaptopPro with Bluetooth (Mac layout) and the
Matias SecurePro (PC layout) with harder encryption for secure environments.
