CAD files for printing/ milling a 60% case
« on: Mon, 29 August 2016, 07:22:55 »
Hello everyone,

I'm relatively new to mechanical keyboards and bought my pok3r just 2 months ago.
I also bought a KC60 in a group buy but do NOT like the plastic case which led me to the idea of building a case on my own.

I like the pok3r case 's design so it would be nice to copy that one.
Does anyone have CAD-data/CAD-files to get the exact measurements of a 60% case?

I'd really appreciate a link or some data of the measurements.

Thanks in advance.

It's almost certainly cheaper to get a 60% aluminium case off AliExpress, I think they usually go for about $70 or so. Unless you have access to your own CNC.

Money doesn't matter. I want to create a custom case based on the hole distances / general measurements of a 60% keyboard case.
Thanks for your advice anyway !

I would recommend checking out builder.swillkb.com.  Might be a good starting point.

Then I would echo swill's advice to check out his plate builder. If you generate the bog-standard 60% plate template, it should have all the holes in the right places for you.

this keyboard layout page page http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/ is also a great way to generate a layout, then you can copy the raw data into swill's fine work.
