Hello from Sydney
« on: Tue, 30 August 2016, 07:52:20 »
Hi all, I'm new to Geekhack and made my way here from the reddit mechanical keyboards community. I started with mechs after building my own pc...I bought a das keyboard full sized, but by the time it arrived I was desperate for a 60% and bought a wasd v3 with mx browns which I like a lot...but now I'm reading about the different feel of topre boards, and all these amazing artisans and wondering how my wallet is going to support it all...

Welcome!

As you've already noticed, it gets expensive quickly with all the boards and switch types out there to try.

My topre (HHKB) came in today. It. Is. Amazing.

Haven't touched artisans yet though, fearing for my wallet and my relationship at that point!

How would you describe the feel of topre in relation to mx?

I have indeed noticed, but I'm feeling this growing compulsion to try everything and get everything...it's weird (and no doubt familiar...)
