The DOWN key stopped working but only for single press

Hello.

I got a wierd one for you.

I have a Matias Mini Quiet Pro keyboard.

I normally use Linux but at home I have a Win10 machine that I use for games, mainly simulators an such and since a few days ago my DOWN key has stopped working but only for single presses.

I removed all the keys, did a very good cleaning of the whole keyboard and tried again. Same thing.

 However if I do a long press it would work perfectly. Hoa... ?!

I picked up by work laptop and plugged the keyboard to it and lo and behold, the DOWN key works perfectly.

I have tried  removing the keyboard from my device manager and have windows pick it up as fresh and I have the same thing.

I also noticed that fn + 1 that previously was triggering Numpad 1 is now triggering END.

I believe this started happening on the same day I started holiday. I used the company login to login on my home machine so I could keep track of some quick meetings I still had scheduled on top of my holiday and noticed that my windows machine picked up some settings from the company. I manually reverted all I could find but I might have missed some (converted remote login to local login for example).

All my other arrow keys work perfectly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Joao

If you have number lock turned off the numberpad 1 key outputs END.  Not really sure what this has to do with arrows but try toggling number lock on the computer with the 'broken' DOWN and I wouldn't be surprised if it fixes the problem

Fn + N (num lock) doesnt seem to do anything.
Actually it did make the numberpad 1 output correctly. But didnt fix the arrow key

But i cant actually see if its on or off, there is no visual cue on the keyboard.
Since I can see the effect on numpad1, i know when its on or off now.

Hmm... I just had a look and the quiet Pro is a fullsize with a numburpad, and it has no FN key - is yours the mini?

Its been quite a while and I am still struggling with this problem.

Does FN and down work for a single press?  Trying to work out if it's hardware or software as it doesn't make any sense.

Probably an OS issue with your computer as you stated it works fine on your work laptop. Maybe try going through some of your keyboard and regional settings and reverting to defaults.
