Hi from New York!
« on: Sun, 25 September 2016, 11:23:20 »
Hi there!

I've been a lurker on /r/mk and occasionally here, and finally decided to get around to posting.  Currently have a planck with mx blacks and a pok3r with mx clears, nothing super fancy.  I was into the headphone hobby for awhile, so I'm certainly not new to wallet-destroying hobbies...barely got out of that one with any money left :p
Currently a high school senior in nyc, no idea where I'm going to end up next year though

Like a lot of people here, I have been looking for my "grail" in keyboards, unfortunately I haven't really had the chance to try much without dropping a lot of money to buy new things.  I was gifted 2 older hall effect keyboards by my grandfather last christmas and fell in love with the feeling of them; Here is an imgur album: http://imgur.com/a/eryZ8.
Since then, I gave the smaller board to a friend to mess with, and I have desoldered the switches from larger one, here is a imgur album of one of the switches: http://imgur.com/a/njZbb
I've been trying to get a switch to work using a breadboard, but due to my limited electronics knowledge I have had no success :(

Hopefully in time my lurker tendencies will go away and I'll become an active member! :thumb:
