Stuck MX lock switch.
« on: Mon, 10 October 2016, 15:32:23 »
So I got my three MX lock switches in the mail today and installed one of them on my S60-X.

Now it seems like this switches isn't working perfectly fine. Every third depression a second press will not unlock the switch, it stays stuck for a few presses. If I let the switch snap back up it will unlock, a hard and quick press can also work. Normal pressing unlocks the switch after 2-5 tries.

This behaviour seems to indicate that one of the hooks on the triangularly symmetric wheel inside the switch is broken or at least off tolerance. Has anyone encountered this before? What can I do to fix it other than getting another switch and swapping out the wheels? Or are MX locks just generally a little unreliable like this? It seems like my other two switches work better, but they haven't been installed and if they work better I want to keep them for my next board anyway.

Could a stronger spring help? Do I maybe have to lube some part of the wheel to make it go round again?
