Brining it to life, custom keyboard pulled from equipment
« on: Wed, 19 October 2016, 13:31:25 »
I pulled this keyboard from a piece of derelict equipment and I thought maybe, just maybe I could make it work.
I haven't taken the main board off so I'm not sure of the chips but the output is to this 2x10 header. What are the chances of making this work?
It was working before I removed it and let the kids take the rest of the thing apart.

I'd have to check to see if a proper converter for 10-pin to USB exist. If it does, there's a chance.

Even if there's no proper USB converter you could put in the work to trace the PCB and wire it to a teensy.
I typed this post on my Slanck. I also developed a stronger, cleaner, easier handwiring method.

And that's just what I'm going to do. I've got it wired up to a Teensy++ now. Trying out the different firmwares.
