MagicForce 68-key rollover help!
« on: Tue, 25 October 2016, 14:19:43 »
I just bought the MagicForce 68 keyboard and I've been enjoying it so far. I am using it on a Mac and I remapped (via the Mac keyboard settings) CapsLock to CTRL. Everything appears to work except when I use emacs and I need to set a mark (achieved by hitting CTRL-@). It appears that combo of keys don't work (CAPSLOCK + SHIFT + 2). I verified this at the N-Key Roller test page:

This sucks as I really want to be able to use emacs and have the remapped CTRL. I know that my non-backlit MagicForce does not have dip switches to swap CapsLock and left CTRL but I am wondering for those versions that do have the dip switches, if you swap it via dip switches (as opposed to via Mac's settings), does that key combo now work? If so I might just go buy a backlit version instead.

So, if anyone has a MagicForce 68-key with dip switches, would you mind testing this out for me: set the dip switch to swap CapsLock and left Control and go to that page and test if you can now hit the "CAPSLOCK + SHIFT + 2" combo (and verify that CTRL, SHIFT, 2 is detected on the page)?

Thanks in advance.
