Northgate OmniKey Gold Label 102 on eBay (now $49.99 + shipping)
« on: Thu, 27 October 2016, 21:11:09 »
High chance there are blue Alps in this, but I've heard that white is also a possibility.  Thought I would share it with everyone.

Not sure about the price, but I know these can be hard to find and the prices even for white Alps Omnikeys have really gone up lately.

Surprised that this one is still sitting here with only 3 watchers.
"The old Republican Party was a stool with three legs: social conservatism, economic conservatism and national security conservatism.
So too is the MAGA Republican Party. One of those legs is the nativist extremism of Stephen Miller. The second is the anti-government extremism of Russell Vought.
And the last is the open, flamboyant corruption of Donald Trump — a corruption that degrades a people’s faith in government and makes it all the easier to remake the state in the image of a single man.

I agree, I can already tell that it's not exactly squeaky clean, but nonetheless that thing should've gone hours ago for that price xD .

How likely is it that it will have blue Alps?

Quite likely. Until one exception a little while ago we've only ever seen blue Alps ones I think.

From what I can tell from the photos, this 102 is far from pristine. The plate is certainly corroded.

plate is certainly corroded.

90%+ of old Alps plates are corroded to some degree.

Yes, indeed. One can always fantasize about finding one whose owner has never used the board and kept it stored under an atmosphere of dry argon. ;)

@Ir0n: Thanks for letting us know!

Definitely very true, but I've never seen corrosion on unused specimens. I've found the degree of corrosion to be a valuable indicator in helping determine the condition of Alps boards.

EDIT: if they're white Alps, it might be the one with white Alps that sold a while ago xD .

Looks like they recently lowered the price to $69.99.  Hard to believe it's still there.  I recently sold one of my much newer 102s for more than this.

EDIT 11/4: They must really want to be rid of this keyboard.  Just dropped it again another $10 to $59.95
EDIT 11/7: And dropped again to $49.95
