Damnit.  I want that keyboard.  The price is too high, though.  I guess, in general terms, it is a specialty part for the Dolch equipment.

In geekhacker's terms, it's a PS/2 compatible board. what you need is a plug converter for RJ11 to ps/2 or soldering a ps/2 cable to pcb.

Interesting.  That board just sold but was relisted.  Maybe the buyer didn't realize it had the connector that it had.

I have one of these - it's part of a luggable/lunchbox that was often sold as a network analyzer.  I don't have it here, but mine is AirLink branded, IIRC.   Great little keyboard.  Wish someone made a modern version of it in USB/PS2.

What are these DKSaver boards and how is it relevant to this thread?  Another asian fanclub board like the 356cl?

Here's another DKSaver:

Wait, I just posted another irrelevant photo

My version (Airlink branded) is going to appear in some pics in a minute in a thread I'm starting on the F/AT+Keypatch I just got from ebay (waiting on pics to scp).  It (the spacesaver) really is a nice keyboard.

Really weird when I'm googling some obscure stuff like dolch keyboards only to wind up back here.

Anyone pickup one of these? They look super cool.

Damn you guys.  This keyboard was hawt.  Salcan posts about it and I thought it was a new thread despite having read it 4 weeks ago.  Shoulda bought this, this is sorta the "one keyboard".  Like a G80-1800 with platemounted blues.

yeah, I've been trying to do some research on it, haven't dug up much. There are some on ebay right now, but for most of them you have to buy the whole setup.

this looks like the best deal going:

but the kb looks a little bit beat up, or at least dusty

I'm trying to work something out with Cherry (and one of their main distributors) right now to get some 1800s in blues and browns here in the US.  Stay tuned.

Nice.  Very nice.  Get some refurbished black stem boards and turn them into reds.  Then you can sell Texan style HUMUS.

Not to reveal my ignorance, but what's so special with the 1800? It's a compact layout with the option for Blue switches right? Anything else?

Just the compact layout.  For Cherry fans, such as myself, I love Cherry-made 'boards, but the only "normal," MX model they have in the US is the 3000 which is a battleship of a keyboard.  The G80-1863 also has 6-key rollover (IIRC) and a USB hub.

The only problem with the g80-1800 layout is that there is a 1/2 sized zero key on the numpad, which would make heavy numpad use a little annoying, and the spacebar is a little short in my opinion, you would always be hitting the spacebar on the rightmost edge.

Oh also that it is not 14 inches wide but 16.25 inches wide (probably)

It's like a tenkeyless footprint without missing the numpad... (almost)

I have used the numpad on the SPOS pretty heavily without any trouble, but that's just me, though.

That's the magic. (Almost) all of the Tenkeyless compactness with very few compromises.
