Hi from Italy
« on: Tue, 22 November 2016, 12:16:28 »
I just subscribed and I would like to say thanks to everybody for this forum and all the interesting posts I read over the years!

I have a mechanical keyboard fetish and I'm a proud owner of a Italian IBM Model M keyboard. Now looking for a Unicomp keyboard...

@ciarpame: Welcome to GH!

I started with an IBM Model M. Within a few years, I have tried many different brands, form factors, layouts, switch types, and keycap types.

My current all-time favorite keyboard is a silenced and lubed HHKB Pro 2 with 45g Topre switches and Topre dye-sublimiated PBT keycaps. Overall, I prefer the 60% form factor and HHKB layout, but I also use full-size and TKL keyboards of various kinds. Other favorite switches include IBM capacitive buckling spring (Model F) and Alps (SKCM white or blue).

For a few months some years ago, I lived in Padova. I liked it there very much. Wonderful people, great atmosphere steeped in history, art, and culture, and exquisite cuisine. Now I am back in the USA, but I savor fond memories of my time in Italy.
