Hey all - so everything was going along just swimmingly when building my "Satan GH60" until I attempted to pull my Tai-Hao Carbon Black spacebar...
This could be a defect with the keycap itself, because that particular slot on the keycap (furthest on the right) was EXTREMELY tight - so much so that while attempting to remove it, I broke the right stabilizer.
I'm currently using plate mounted Cherry switches, with PCB mounted Cherry stabilizers - the inner piece with the tiny legs of one of my spacebar stabilizers broke. I managed to reassemble everything but I know 100% that if I were to remove the spacebar again, I'd probably need pliers to pull the stab out of the stupid spacebar. So I have a few questions:
What's the best way to replace the stab and quiet down the keyboard if I want to stick with Cherry stabs? My plate supports plate-mounted stabilizers, but I've never had experience with those either.
Secondly, how can I possibly loosen up the opening on the spacebar itself to prevent this from happening again? It may have been a manufacturing defect...
Best,
David
