I just bought a G80-3000 silent from Provantage, who stopped carrying it right after I ordered it. It was just over $100 shipped. Maybe they thought that fulfilling my order was too much of a PITA, so they dropped it? My other keyboards have been mostly MX browns (Filco, Leopold, Das Keyboard, CM Quickfire), but I have had a Realforce and a Type Heaven. At first this thing felt really mushy and cheap and I did't like it at all, but after using it for a week it's really grown on me. The keys have a nice soft landing when you bottom them out. They don't have that "pop" that Topres do, but it's still a nice feeling. I use it in my office, so I like how quiet it is, although my coworkers never complained about my MX brown keyboards. The case is definitely cheap-feeling, but it reminds me of my old Apple EKII, and the POM keycaps have a nice soft feel to them. The one mod I had to make was replacing the space bar's spring with one from a clear switch. I tried a grey spring, but it made the space bar feel too stiff. With the stock red spring, it was too light and I double spaced too often. I think this board is a keeper, but I might consider replacing the caps with some PBT ones at some point, and I want to do something about the Num Lock and Caps Lock lights bleeding into the other indicator windows.
