Heya from Nor Cal!

Hi everyone! I've recently started browsing geekhack after my girlfriend (previous enthusiast, now returning) turned me onto this amazing place. I've used a few different mechanical keyboards for a few years now but never had I thought to get into them beyond normal use.

I started off with a second hand rosewill rk-9000 with mx browns and absolutely loved the thing until the USB connector finally died out on me. After that, I moved onto a corsair k95 with reds as I was really heavy into mmos at the time and the additional macros keys seemed nice. Absolutely hated reds after trying them but stuck with the board for a while. My current board is a logitech g610 with browns and its been treating me well so far. After browsing the forums and talking with my girlfriend some more, I've decided to move past the gaming marketed boards and look into something more. Most recently I picked up the KBparadise V60 on massdrop with clears and I can't wait for it to come in. I'm excited to try out a new switch I haven't used before as well as experience something beyond a full-sized keyboard.

For the most part I've been browsing keycaps and custom cases as the designs some people have put together have truly sparked my interest. I'm a trained engineer with fairly good knowledge of CAD, 3D printing, and CNC machines so I really look forward to potentially using some of that knowledge to further this new found love. Printing keycaps, machining a case, or even working with acrylic to build a case are somethings that really interest me and I feel I could do at a future time. I'll probably just be lurking for the most part but if I ever make anything I'll be sure to show you all.

Happy browsing~
