Greetings from NC!
I've liked the feel of mechanical boards for some time (3-4 years) but I've never even considered going beyond buying a gaming keyboard and leaving it stock until pretty recently.
I've owned a good few boards over the last few years, so I'll go in chronological order:
-Corsair K70, Cherry Reds + silencer rings
My first ever, loved it to death.
-Razer Blackwidow Chroma, Razer Greens
Amazing customization for lights, honestly still don't think it's that bad of a board, but the keycap font is horrid.
-Logitech G610, Cherry Reds
Nice and simple, but ended up parting it for the red switches and some of it's caps later on.
-Corsair K70 RGB, Cherry Reds
Picked it up refurb from Corsair. Favorite board so far, I'm in love with it. Still my daily driver at home.
-Razer Blackwidow X TE, Razer Greens
Very similar design to the K70, which I love. This one is actually my girlfriends, but I can use it if I need it as she doesn't game a whole lot during weekdays. Actually do enjoy it, feels like a K70 if it had cherry blues. The Blackwidow X's also have a new keycap font, thank god.
-Qisan Magicforce 68, Refitted with Cherry Reds
I just got this board, and the first thing I noticed was that I HATE Otemu Browns. I took the Cherry Reds from the G610, a soldering iron, and went to town. Everything went really smooth, and it definitely increased my confidence level one working with keyboards, since this is the first time I've ever taken on apart, much less modified it. I already had the soldering skills so it wasn't too bad. Being as this is my only non-stock board, I've included a picture. This one is my first board smaller than a TKL, and it'll be my traveling board for my (very typing heavy) job.

Honestly I really like this board already, and I think when tax money comes in I'll be looking at making a 60%, as that's really what I'm after in a small keyboard.
